Simple Pimple Treatment.

Hello again,

What do you do when you wake up and a pimple has appeared over night-right on your nose or forehead? And yes-you have a party, interview or special occasion to go to!

We have all been there!

Here is a simple solution:

An easy lemon and honey mask that can be made at home:

Squeeze 1 spoonful of lemon juice and the same amount of honey into a clean bowl. Mix well to form a paste. Apply over the face and neck, to cleansed skin, using a cotton pad, not cotton wool. Leave for 15 mins and then rinse with cold water. (source- Style craze)

The lemon contains citric acid which helps neutralize and contain the oil secretions of oily skin. Honey has antibacterial properties and can restore moisture balance in the skin.

Hopefully you will notice a reduction in the pimple size and will have a glow to your skin.

Try it out and see if it helps.

Do you have any other home remedies that you can share with us?

I would love to hear them-leave me a comment here, on facebook, twitter or by email. We all need quick solutions and can help each other stay fit and healthy with gorgeous looking skin!

What is in your Skin Care products?

The weekend is nearly here and I am hoping you get some time to yourself, the time I like to call:

'Mytime'

During this time take a look at your skin care products and see what is actually in them.

Here is a list of some of the ingredients that go into many of the leading brands:

  • Methylisothiazolinone – a harsh preservative that has been linked to allergic reactions and skin irritations. This chemical was the topic of Watchdog in 2013
  • Paraffin – used in moisturisers as well as cosmetics. This product is derived from either coal or petroleum
  • Petrolatum – a cheap ingredient produced from petroleum. This can result in the skin becoming sun sensitive. It can also interfere with the body's own natural moisturising system as it will sit on the skins surface.
  • Propylenglycol – this is the most common moisture-carrying vehicle (other than water) found in cosmetics. Derived from petroleum it can cause irritation in some people, not all! It is also an ingredient found in antifreeze!
Do these sound like products you want to be putting on your skin?

I certainly don't!

I would prefer to treat my skin with care and use natural and organic products. Products that help me to feel and look good.

At Mytime all our products are natural and organic. They only contain plant and fruit extracts and are paraben and sulphite free.

Check out our website here and you will see a wide range of products that I think you would prefer to include in your 'Mytime!'

Any questions just leave me a comment below and have a fun weekend x
